JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.42% at 4603 Thursday (Jan. 28) following regional markets.

Asian shares rose slightly in choppy trade on Thursday as investors attempted to interpret the U.S. Federal Reserve’s statement overnight, and oil prices fell back after climbing in the previous session, Reuters reported.

Adaro Energy jumped 9%, Astra Agro rose 2.68%, Astra International increased 1.63%, Bank Danamon hiked 2.1%, Charoen Pokphand lifted 2.78%, Bumi Serpong Damai climbed 1.47%, Indika Energy surged 5.45%, Indofood Sukses gained 2.14%, and London Sumatra jumped 4.4%.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.43% to US$32.44 per barrel and increased 0.2% to US$1,118.30 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp13,889 against the US dollar.
