JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has Wednesday (Jan. 27) is set to receive one new oil tanker (MT Sanggau), an echo ship concept, with 40,000 long ton dead weight (LTDW), valuing for US$31 million, equivalent Rp42.78 billion.
This oil tanker will be delivered by Newtimes Shipbuilding Co Ltd, based in Jinjiang, Jiangsum, China.
The delivery is scheduled for Friday this week and the operation on this tanker is expected for early March this year.
Pertamina is also set to receive 2 medium range ships (MT Serui and MT Sanana) with 40,000 DWT from Newtimes Shipbuilding Co Ltd in the first quarter of 2016.
By end 2016, Pertamina targets to have 72 units of ships, of which 34 ships are constructed by national shipyards.
