JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – In the Draft of Revised State Budget 2016, the government proposed a realistic yet optimistic framework of macro-economic assumptions, Minister of Finance Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro said.

Furthermore, the government will keep the 2016 budget deficit at sustainable levels, ie 2.1% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). “Compared with the outlook of the 2015 budget deficit of 2.2%, then 2.1% is still lower,” explained the minister.

The Minister also explained, based on the outlook of revenue in 2015, tax revenue is expected to grow by 14.5%. “So instead of using tax revenue target 2015 as a baseline, we use its outlook that we have been delivered. It might be Rp120 trillion shortfall then grow by 14.5% for 2016,” he explained.

As is known, in the posture of RAPBN 2016, the government revenues is targeted at Rp1,848.1 trillion or an increase of approximately Rp86,5 trillion from the target of APBN-P 2015 of Rp1,761.6 trillion. Of this amount, the tax revenue target is Rp1,565.8 trillion or an increase of approximately Rp76.5 trillion compared to that in APBN-P 2015 in amount of Rp1,489.3 trillion. Meanwhile, non-tax revenues (PNBP) in 2016 is targeted at Rp280.3 trillion.
