JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Hilmi Aminuddin, patron chief of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), had Tuesday (March 25) testified as witness in a trial on beef graft case held at the Jakarta Corruption Court.
Hilmi was summoned to testify as witness for Maria Elizabeth Liman, President Director of PT Indoguna Utama and one of suspects in the case.
Besides Hilmi, Luthfi Hasan Ishaaq (former Chairman of PKS and one of convicts in the case), Suswono (Minister of Agriculture and PKS politician), and Achmad Fathanah (Luthfi’s aide and one of convicts in the case) are also scheduled to testify in the trial.
Previously, in a questioning on May 2013, Hilmi had been questioned by KPK’s investigators on the allegation of receiving Rp17 billion from PT Indoguna Utama through Luthfi’s aide Ahmad Fathanah.
Hilmi, however, denied all allegations against him and argued that he didn’t know about the money. He also denied the allegation that his son, Ridwan Hakim, was involved in the quota import beef scandal. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
