Govt Should Not Pay for Satinah’s Blood Money, Citizens Say

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Many of Indonesian citizens are not happy with the government of Indonesia’s initiative to pay for blood money in exchange for the life of Indonesian migrant worker Satinah binti Jumadi Ahmad (41). Satinah is scheduled to face the dead execution today (April 4) in Saudi Arabia. After weeks of controversy, the Indonesian government announced that they finally agreed to complete the payment of Satinah’s blood money for as much as 7 million Riyal (Rp21 billion). “It is not that I am heartless but I don’t agree that the government is willing to pay Satinah’s blood money. If the government keeps paying for the blood money, the Saudis would take the advantage of it whenever there is a criminal case involving Indonesian migrant worker there,” Aninda Kusuma told Yosefardi.biz over the phone on Friday (4 April). Niken Putri, a private company employee in Yogyakarta, told Yosefardi.biz that the government was not wise to pay the Satinah’s blood money. Indonesian-made Airplane R-80 To Be Launched in 2017

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Former president of Indonesia B.J Habibie plans to launch the Indonesian-made airplane R-80 in 2017. The R-80 or Regio Prop 80 is produced by 15 airplane experts with 20-years of experience from PT Dirgantara Indonesia. Some of them also have experiences of working for Boeing and Airbus. The R-80 was produced by PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI), the joint venture between PT Ilhabi (owned by Ilham Akbar Habibie) and PT Eagle Capital (owned by Erry Firmansyah). Shocking Health Picture Warning to Reduce Indonesian Smoker’s Number

Indonesia Bans Hollywood Film “Noah”

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The two largest Indonesia cinema chains, Blitzmegaplex and Cineplex 21, could not screen the Hollywood film Noah after the Indonesia Film Censorship Institute (LSF) decided to ban “Noah”film Friday last week (March 21). Noah is an American film telling about Noah’s Ark adopted from the Old Testament and Koran, where a man is chosen by God to undertake a mission of rescue before a dreadful flood destroys the world. LSF considered that the film produced by Paramount Pictures is contradictory with the basic teaching of the Koran or the Old Testament. The LSF chairman, Muklhis Paeni, said LSF opted to ban the film on worries the film directed by Darren Aronofsky would trigger violent protests by the Indonesia’s society. LSF also noted that the film was also banned by Film Censorship boards in Qatar, Bahrain and United Emirate Arab. The film is stared by Russel Crowe, Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson.
