JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined two lawmakers at the House of Representatives (DPR) from the National Awakening Party (PKB) in their capacity as witnesses to a bribery scandal involving PDI-P lawmaker Damayanti Wisnu Putranti.
The two PKB lawmakers questioned by the KPK yesterday were Alamudin Dimyati Rois and Fathan. Alamuddin currently seat as one of members of the DPR Commission V just like Damayanti. While Fathan serves as one of members of the DPR Commission VIII.
In this case, the KPK has named four suspects. They are Damayanti, director of PT Windu Tunggal Utama (WTU) Abdul Khoir, Julia Prasetyarini and Dessy A. Edwin. The KPK alleged Damayanti for receiving bribe from Abdul related to an infrastructure project at the Ministry of Public Works & Public Housing (PUPR).
The KPK has earlier also already questioned Hediyanto W. Husaini, the PUPR Ministry’s director general for Highways Department (Bina Marga), in his capacity as a witness to the case. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
