JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Jakarta Corruption Court has Thursday (Nov.7) kicked off the first trial of the graft scandal in the powerful Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (SKK Migas).
Today KPK is expected to read out the charges against Simon Gunawan Tanjaya, an executive of the Singapore-based oil trading firm of Kernel Oil Pte Ltd, as suspect for bribing the dismissed Chief of SKK Migas Rudi Rubiandini.
Simon is alleged to have bribing Rudi with US$900,000 and SGD200,000 cash money, given through Deviardi. Other suspects are Rudi Rubiandini and Deviardi, golf trainer for Simon Gunawan.
The case is under spotlight as people expect the case as the door to reveal graft practices in oil and gas sector.
KPK itself is still trying to hunt other potential graft suspects as it believes Rudi Rubiandini was not the only man involved in graft practices in this strategic sector. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
