JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Media made more reports on the flow of money to celebrities granted by Tubagus Chaeri Wardana aka Wawan, a suspect of money laundering case, Golkar Party politician and brother of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah.
Media this morning reported Wawan had allegedly granted expensive gifts to young female celebrities among other Jennifer Dunn, Syahrini, Aura Kasih, Catherine Wilson, and Indah Dewi Pertiwi.
Today (Feb. 14), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is expected to call Jennifer Dunn and Catherine Wilson for questioning about the flow of funds granted by Wawan.
Jennifer Dunn, according to her lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea, has admitted that the Toyota Vellfire car seized by KPK was granted by Wawan.
Wawan’s illicit money was also allegedly flown to lawmakers. KPK has seized three expensive cars from two lawmakers at the Banten Legislative Council (DPRD).
Wawan, husband of South Tangerang Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany, had been named as suspect in a money laundering case.
Wawan and his sister, Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, were also named as suspects in a bribery case related to the handling of post-election dispute in Lebak regency, Banten.
KPK had seized 17 luxurious cars and one motorcycle belonging to Wawan during the raids conducted in six different places in January 2014. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
