JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is scheduled to arrive in Kampar regency, Riau province today (Oct. 9) in order to inspect the efforts to extinguish forest fires in the regency.
The President is now on his way to Kampar from Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. He is accompanied by the First Lady Iriana.
Also present in the President’s entourage are Minister of Health Nila F. Moeloek, Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions & Transmigration Marwan Jafar, and the President Chief of Staff Teten Masduki.
Jokowi’s visit to Riau and West Sumatra is part of his working visit in Sumatra Island. After visiting West Sumatra and Riau, Jokowi is also scheduled to visit Jambi province before return to the capital city of Jakarta on Sunday (Oct. 11). (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.
