JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened substantially lower by 2% to 4511 Monday (July 8), dragged down by negative sentiment from the region.

Shanghai composite and Hang Seng collapsed 1.7% and 2.2% respectively, while KOSPI composite index down 1.2%.

Nikkei 225 gained 0.33%, but All Ordinaries and STI Index lost 0.7% and 0.81% respectively.

Almost all blue chip stocks opened substantially lower in Jakarta with Astra International and BCA lost 3.7% and 2.63% respectively. Unilever and Telkom also down 3.41% and 0.91%, while Semen Indonesia slipped 0.96%.
