JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) revealed on Thursday (October 1) that September 2015 deflation was 0.05%, compare to inflation 0.39% in August 2015.
The deflation in September 2015 was contributed by foodstuff (-1.07%) and transportation, communication, finance services (-0.4%).
While prepared food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco recorded inflation of 0.39%, housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel (0.2% inflation), clothing (0.83% inflation), health (0.44% inflation), and education, recreation, and sport (0.89% inflation.
Year to date inflation was 2.24% while year on year inflation was 6.83%.
