JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Stock markets in the region opened mostly lower this morning. KOSPI composite index leads the downfall with 0.97% loss, while Nikkei 225 down 0.69%.

Australia’s All Ordinaries also down 0.5%, while Singapore’s STI lost 0.49%. Wall Street ended last week trading with mixed signal as Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) down slightly by 0.13%, while Nasdaq composite inched up 0.13%.??

Miners dragged down All Ordinaries, as Rio Tinto opened lower by 2.24%, while BHP Billiton, the world’s largest mining company, lost 1%. Whitehaven Coal also lost 3%. Santos and Woodside Petroleum also down 0.17% and 0.97% respectively.

In Singapore, most plantation stocks opened lower with Wilmar International down 0.62%, First Resources lost 1.87%, while Indofood AGri and Golden Agri-Resources down 0.75% each. (Indonesia Today)
