JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher by 0.29% at 4,774.50 on Monday (June 17) with profit taking in afternoon trade cutting the index’s gain.

Most regional markets also ended in green. Japan’s Nikkei climbed 2.73% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 1.22%.

In Jakarta bourse, property stocks supported index’s gain. Alam Sutera gained 4.76%, Bumi Serpong Damai rose 2.14%, and Lippo Karawaci increased 0.6%.

Other gainers were Globa Mediacom (+5.95%), Multipolar (+13.2%), Matahari Putra Prima (+13.1%), Waskita Karya (+1.14%), and Media Nusantara (+2.44%).

Among losers were Saranacentral Bajatama (-6.45%), Japfa Comfeed (-3.4%), Bank Bukopin (-2.56%), Astra International (-1.42%), Bank Mandiri (-3.7%), and London Sumatera (-6.1%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.28% to US$98.12 per barrel. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp9,881 against the US Dollar.
