JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) suffered net loss of Rp10.5 trillion in the first half of 2015, against profit of Rp14.49 trillion in the corresponding period of 2014.
Revenues from electricity sales increased 18.8% to Rp101.27 trillion from previous Rp85.73 trillion. But government’s subsidy for electricity dropped 52.6% to Rp27.42 trillion from earlier Rp57.72 trillion.
Operating profit fell 17.2% to Rp24.74 trillion from Rp28.84 trillion in the first half of 2014. Its assets reached Rp622.53 trillion while liability amounted Rp491.24 trillion.
