JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) allocates US$200 million fund, equivalent Rp2.4 trillion for gas network development in many parts of the country.

The company sets capital expenditure (capex) of US$1.25 billion, equivalent Rp15 trillion, for this year, compared to US$150 million capex in 2013.

PGAS also plans to build LNG plant and 16 gas fuel stations in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Sukabumi. The government has commitment to convert fuel into gas as domestic oil production is on the declining trend.

The government is committed to supply 30 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas.
