SINGAPORE (Yosefardi) – Petra Foods Ltd generated sales revenue of US$94.25 million in Indonesia for the first quarter of 2013, grew by 5.4% over the corresponding period of 2012.

The revenues were limited to branded consumer products. Other markets in the region, meanwhile, grew stronger by 14.8% to US$33.12 million.

Petra Foods said weaker growth in Indonesia was mainly attributable to weakening of rupiah against USD.

“For our branded consumer business in Indonesia, the strong revenue growth generated was through our own brands products, which achieved double digit revenue growth in Q1/13,” Petra Foods said.

Petra’s own brands include Funtime, Top, and Ceres. Petra is one of leading players in the chocolate processing industry in the region.
