Under the agreement, Pertamina and PLN has agreed the LNG regasification services for PLN’s gas stations in Aceh and Medan. The power stations are excepted to operate by mid of next year.
The regasification facilities will be built by harnessing and developing LNG refinery facilities on LNG Regasification Terminal and Storage.
The development of facilities was in line with the end of contract for Tangguh LNG in 2014, the decrease in gas supply to industries in the region of Aceh, and the absence of a prospective gas source around Arun. (ferdi@theindonesiatoday.com)
