JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State oil and gas company PT Pertamina sets up a subsidiary, PT Pertamina International Explortion and Production to handle the operation of oil and gas blocks overseas.

Pertamina targets to become Asean Energy Champion in 2020, to develop new business such as petrochemical, coal, geo energy
and other potential resources and business.

Pertamina also targets to produce 2.2 million barrels oil equivalent per day and to book revenue of US$200 billion.

Pertamia currently 6 exploration blocks overseas, one development block and 3 producing blocks. The exploration blocks are
3 WD (Iraq), 17-3 Sabratah Offshore (Libya), 123-3 Sirte Onshore (Libya), 13 Red Sea Offshore (Sudan), 3 Offshore (Qatar),
and 10 & 11.2 blocks (Vietnam). The development block is located at SK-305 block (Malaysia). While producing blocks are
VIC/L 26, 27 & 28 (Australia), 405a (Libya), and West Qurna 1 (Iraq).
