JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The prosecutor team from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has re-summoned media mogul Surya Paloh, the Chairman of Nasdem Party, to testify in the trial of his former party official and graft suspect Patrice Rio Capella on Monday (Nov. 30).
This is the second summon for Paloh. Previously, he failed to answer the first KPK’s summon to testify in Rio Capella trial last week without clear reason.
Paloh, however, has not yet confirmed on whether he will answer the KPK’s second summon to testify at the Jakarta Corrupiton Court today.
Paloh has been questioned by KPK as a witness in the case that dragged down Rio Capella, former Secretary General of Nasdem Party.
In this case, Rio is alleged of receiving Rp200 million in bribe from the non-active Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho and his wife Evy Susanti for tampering the investigation of the the Attorney General Office (AGO) into the case of the North Sumatra provincial administration’s social assistance funds (Bansos).
