JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Tengku Erry Nuradi, Vice Governor of North Sumatra and politician from Surya Paloh’s Nasdem Party, has been examined by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) related to further investigation into bribery scandal of judges at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) of Medan.

Erry reportedly arrived at the KPK’s office at around 9:30 am of Jakarta time.

According to acting head of KPK’s public relation bureau, Erry will be questioned as a witness for Gatot Pujo Nugroho, Governor of North Sumatra and one of suspects in the case.

As reported earlier, KPK has questioned another Nasdem Party’s key leader Patrice Rio Capella on September 23, 2015, related to the meeting at Nasdem’s headquarters. Said meeting reportedly attended by Gatot, Erry, senior lawyer Otto Cornelis (OC) Kaligis and other Nasdem officials.

At that time, Erry serves as chairman of Nasdem for North Sumatra provincial chapter. While Kaligis served as chief justice of Nasdem’s Supreme Council.

Gatot and Kaligis have been named as suspects in the case. Five other suspects are M Yagari Bhastara Guntur aka Gerry (a lawyer at OC Kaligis law firm), Tripeni Irianto Putro (Head of the PTUN Medan), Amir Fauzi (judge at the PTUN Medan), Dermawan Ginting (judge at the PTUN Medan), and Syamsir Yusfan (a registrar at the PTUN Medan).
