JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Ma’ruf Cahyono has today (Feb. 4) been installed as the new Secretary General of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) replacing Eddy Siregar, who has entered his retirement mandatory age.
The inauguration ceremony is held at the Nusantara IV building of the Parliament compound in Senayan, Central Jakarta.
Present in the ceremony were, among others, the Speaker of the MPR Zulkifli Hasan and his deputies.
Ma’ruf elected as the new MPR’s Secretary General after defeating 6 other contenders in the final selection. Prior to the installment, Ma’ruf served as the MPR’s public relations office. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
