SINGAPORE (Yosefardi) – SGX main board listed KS Energy Limited, owned by Kris Wiluan, reported that the new rig is currently being commissioned and will be ready for delivery end of March 2014.
Named the KS Java Star 2, this rig will be deployed to drill in Vietnam for a one plus one year contract.
Constructed at a cost of US$165.5 million, the KS Java Star 2 is an F&G Super M2 class design rig capable of working in up to 300-feet water depths.
The notable feature of this rig is its cantilever envelope of 57.5 feet x 30 feet and it provides accommodation for 110 persons.
