ABU DHABI (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has invited businessmen in the Middle East to invest in the infrastructure development in Indonesia.

President Jokowi on Sunday (Sept. 13) made his speech at a business & investment forum in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

President Jokowi revealed about Indonesia’s plan to build massive infrastructure projects throughout the country such as developing the 35,000 MW electricity program, 15 new airports, 24 new ports, mass transportation system, etc.

President Jokowi is in his five-day working visit in Middle East. Prior his visit in UAE, President Jokowi visited Saudi Arabia where he met King Salman of Saudi Arabia.

Accompanying the President were some ministers, among others, Coordinating Minister for Economy Darmin Nasution, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi, Minister of Trade Thomas Lembong, Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas) Sofyan Djalil, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and President Jokowi’s Special Envoy for Middle East Alwi Shihab.
