JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo stated that Indonesia will send an emergency aid to Nepal following a devastating 7.9 magnitude earthquake on Saturday (Apr. 25) killed more than 2,500 people.

The President said the emergency aid comprises of foods, medicines, search & rescue team (SAR), and also medical team. He hopes that the aid will arrive in Nepal within the next 3-4 days.

In a different place, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that 17 out of 34 Indonesians in Nepal were safe.

The Ministry, moreover, stated that they continue to coordinate with the Nepal authority to find the rest Indonesian citizens. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
