JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The government has kicked off the auction of 21 oil and gas blocks, including two non-conventional blocks.

Three blocks (Sumba Sawu, East Seringapatam, and East Abadi) are offered through regular auction, while 16 other conventional blocks are offered through direct offer mechanism.

The 16 blocks include North Madura II, North East Madura VI and Anugerah in East Java, North Adang in Makassar Strait, and three blocks in Papua (South Aru, Bird’s Head, and Merauke).

Two non-conventional blocks offered through direct offer are Barumun in North Sumatra & Riau and West Tanjung in Central Kalimantan, energy & mineral resources ministry said.
