JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.46% to 4,602 on Friday (July 5), in line with gains in regional markets.

Japan.s Nikkei jumped 2.08% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng climbed 1.89%. Only Korea’s KOSPI fell.

In Jakarta bourse, profit taking hits certain stocks, leaving the index to close off its high.

Astra International gained 3.05%, Alam Sutera surged 7.25%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 1.87%, Adaro Energy advanced 2.6%, Telkom increased 0.92%, and Kalbe Farma jumped 4.35%.

Other gainers were Media Nusantara Citra (+1.72%), Waskita Karya (+4.29%), Wijaya Karya (+0.52%), and Bhakti Investama (+1.12%).

Profit taking furhter hit property stocks; Lippo Karawaci (-1.48%) and Bumi Serpong Damai (-1.18%). Other losers were Bumi Resources (-1.9%), Visi Media Asia (-2.74%), Hanson International (-2.78%).

Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.1% to US$101.14 per barrel. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp9,945 against the US Dollar.
