JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.8% at 4587 Tuesday (Feb. 2) following regional markets.

Asian shares fell on Tuesday as crude oil prices slid on oversupply fears and after downbeat manufacturing data raised concerns about sluggish global economic growth, Reuters reported.

Astra Agro lost 2.94%, Astra International fell 3.54%, Indocement shed 2.32%, Kalbe Farma slashed 2.6%, Telkom dropped 2.85%, and United Tractors lost 5%.

While Eagle High jumped 4.3%, Charoen Pokphand rose 2.5%, Adaro Energy surged 7.77%, Waskita Karya gained 2.9%, Hanson International hiked 10.77%, Japfa Comfeed climbed 4.76%, and XL Axiata lifted 5.08%.

Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.8% to US$31.05 per barrel and gold declined 0.12% to US$1,126.60 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp13,621 against the US dollar.
