JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) edged higher 0.36% to 4508 Friday (Feb 14) along with regional markets.

Blue chip stocks led market’s gain. Adaro Energy rose 1.07%, Alam Sutera increased 1.79%, Bank Central Asia climbed 1.2%, Bank Negara Indonesia hiked 1.5%, Lippo Karawaci lifted 1.08%, London Sumatra gained 2.73%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara jumped 2.92%.

Construction firms were also focus of buying; Adhi Karya (+4.15%), Waskita Karya (+2.46%), and Wijaya Karya (+2.02%).

Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.09% to US$92.92 per barrel and gold increased 0.75% to US$1,309.80 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened further to Rp11,886 against the US Dollar.
