JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.69% at 4442 Monday (Nov. 16), but closed off its low.

Asian stocks fell to six-week lows on Monday and emerging market currencies wilted as investors sought the safety of the greenback in the wake of Friday’s attacks in Paris and downbeat economic data, Reuters reported.

Adaro Energy dropped 3.45%, Astra International fell 2.65%, MNC Investama lost 5.26%, Vale Indonesia declined 3.2%, Bukit Asam dropped 5.5%, and Timah shed 2.7%.

While Semen Indonesia gained 1.17%, Lippo Karawaci rose 3.1%, and Gudang Garam increased 2.63%.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.6% to US$40.98 per barrel and gold increased 0.93% to US$1,090.90 per ounce. The rupiah weakened to Rp17,732 against the US dollar.
