JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange ended down 0.2% at 4,349 on Wednesday (Sept 11) with late buying helping the index to close off its low.

A half hour ahead of market closing the index dropped 1.1%.

Among blue chips, Astra International fell 2.36%, Kalbe Farma lost 3.57%, Perusahaan Gas Negara slipped 1.85%, Semen Gresik dropped 5.17%, and Telkom down 1.14%.

Property stocks also closed in red; Alam Sutera (4.84%), Sentul City (-2.44%), Bumi Serpong Damai (-1.43%), and Lippo Karawaci (-1.8%).

Other losers were Bank Bukopin (-6.25%), Bank Tabungan Negara (-2.17%), Semen Baturaja (-2.82%), Waskita Karya (-1.85%), Wijaya Karya (-2.82%), Global Mediacom (-1.65%), and Multipolar (-1.35%).

Among gainers were Charoen Pokphand (+2.16%), Japfa Comfeed (+1.69%), Aneka Tambang (+2.9%), Visi Media (+6.83%), Adaro Energy (+4.4%), and AKR Corporindo (+4.64%).

Banking stock also closed in green. Bank Central Asia rose 1.02%, Bank Negara Indonesia increased 1.22%, and Bank Mandiri advanced 1.27%.

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.52% to US$107.95 perr barrel. The rupiah dropped again to Rp11,438 against the US Dollar.
