JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – State construction firm PT Hutama Karya plans to change its business line to toll road operator, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Dahlan Iskan, minister of state-owned enterprises (SoE), said Hutama Karya will be not allowed to become the public company so the government could intervene the company and its project.
Currently only PT Jasa Marga, publicly listed company, is the opeator of toll road. Dahlan said the government could not intervene Jasa Marga to work on toll road projects considered as not strategic as Jasa Marga is not fully controlled by the government.
He said Hutama Karya will work on the slow-progress toll road project or unstrategic such as Bakauheni-Medan section. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
