JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Cigarette giant Gudang Garam (GGRM) has decided to distribute around US$150 million dividend from its 2012 net profit.

The dividend represents Rp800 per share of GGRM. GGRM shares ended substantially higher by 4.76% to Rp50,600 Friday (June 28), but still way below its peak (Rp63,800) in 12 months.

GGRM paid smaller dividend because its net profit dropped to Rp4.07 trillion last year from Rp4.9 trillion in 2011.

Going forward, Heru Budiman, director of GGRM, said the company pays attention to potential impact of the recent fuel price hike to consumption.
