JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 719,903 tourists in October 2013, grew by 4.59% from 688,341 in October 2012. Compared to September 2013, the figure declined 6.6%. Foreign investors visited Indonesia in September 2013 totaled 770.878.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport in Ocotber 2013, amounted 266,453 tourists, grew by 5.44% from 252,716 in October 2012. Compared with September 2013, the number dropped 12.76%.
The main gate of Soekarno-Hatta Airport recorded foreign arrival of 191,460 tourists in October 2013, increased 3.55% from 184,894 in October 2012. Compared with September 2013, the figure declined 4.9%.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 23 provinces reached an average number of 54.23% in October 2013, increased inched down 0.44 points compared to October 2012 (54.67%). Compared to September 2013, the number inched up 0.12 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.91 days in October 2013, declined 0.02 days from October 2012, also down 0.01 days from September 2013. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
