JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 850,500 in August 2015, grew 2.87% from 826,800 in August 2014. Compared to July 2015, the figure rose 4.46%.
Total foreign tourists went to Bali, one of the most attractive places in Indonesia, through Ngurah Rai Airport, in August 2015 amounted 298,600 tourists, declined 11.3% from 336,600 tourists in August 2014. Compared with July 2015, the number dropped 21.8%.
In January-August 2015 period, foreign tourists visiting Indonesia totaled 6.32 million tourists, grew by 2.7% from 6.16 million in the same period of 2014.
The number of tourists stayed in star hotels in 27 provinces reached an average number of 55.61% in August 2015, up 3.59 points compared to August 2014 (52.02%). Compared to July 2015, the figure rose 4.36 points.
Both domestic and international tourists on average stayed in the star hotels for around 1.93 days in August 2015, down 0.08 points compared to August 2014.
