JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has on Tuesday (Nov. 24) questioned Nurdin Lubis, former Regional Secretary of the North Sumatra provincial administration, for ten hours related to further investigation into bribery scandal implicating the Governor of North Sumatra Gatot Pujo Nugroho and local lawmakers at the North Sumatra legislative council (DPRD).

KPK questioned Nurdin as a witness in the case. In this case, KPK has named six suspects; Gatot and five local lawmakers at the DPRD North Sumatra.

The five local lawmakers named as suspects in the case are, among others, Saleh Bangun of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) Democratic Party, Chaidir Ritonga of Golkar Party, Ajib Shah of Golkar Party, Sigit Pramono Asri of PKS, and Kamaludin Harahap of PAN.

The first four lawmakers have been detained by KPK since November 10, 2015.(haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
