JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Investors focuses selling off plantation shares this morning, mainly Eagle High Plantation (BWPT) and Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) along with the market crash. Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 4.6% to 4133 at 10.06 am Jakarta time.
Among plantation shares, Eagle High Plantation dropped 12.27% and Astra Agro Lestari lost 12.08%. Year to date, BWPT has fallen 39% year to date while Astra Agro lost 40%. AALI has fallen 47% from its peak (Rp27400) year to date. BWPT reached its peak year to date at Rp450 in June 12.
Other plantations shares; London Sumatra fell 7.04%, Gozco Plantation declined 7.5%, and Salim Ivomas shed 6.37%.
In Singapore, Golden Agri dropped 4.84%, First Resources fell 4.43%, and Wilmar International declined 4.01%. In Malaysia, Felda Global dropped 5.26%.
