JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo has urged the Jakarta provincial House of Representatives (DPRD) to soon inaugurate acting Governor of Jakarta Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama as the new Governor.

Tjahjo, the former Secretary General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), revealed that he has sent official letters to the DPRD Jakarta and Ahok respectively regarding his suggestion on Ahok’s inauguration.

As reported earlier, a never-ending debate between factions of political parties in the DPRD Jakarta has caused Ahok’s inauguration for becoming the new Jakarta Governor in uncertainty.

Ahok, as Vice Governor of Jakarta, is supposedly installed as the new Governor to replace Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, who has been sworn in as the seventh President of the Republis on Oct. 20, 2014. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
