HONG KONG (Indonesia Today) – China Eastern Airlines Corporation Ltd, one of major airlines in the region, has turned in a loss of RMB132.4 million in the first quarter of 2013 following a profit of RMB209.6 million in the corresponding period of 2012.

The airline generated revenues of RMB20.66 billion in the quarter, inched up from RMB19.3 billion in the same period last year, but operating costs grew substantially to RMB21.4 billion from RMB19.57 billion in the first quarter of 2012.
