JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked Immigration Office to ban Sutan Bhatoegana, politician from President SBY’s Democratic Party and Head of the House Commission VII, from overseas travel related to investigation into graft scandals at the powerful upstream oil & gas regulatory body (SKK Migas).

KPK has also asked Immigration Office to ban Tri Yulianto, Democratic Party politician and member of the House Commission VII. The ban will be applied for 6 months.

KPK also asked Immigration Office to ban Gerhard Gerhard Marteen Rumeser (Deputy at the powerful oil regulatory body SKK Migas) and Sri Utami (Treasurer of the Energy Ministry).

Bhatoegana and Yulianto have been questioned by KPK related to the allegation of flow of funds from the dismissed Chief of SKK Migas Rudi Rubiandini.

According to KPK’s minutes of investigation (BAP) on Rudi Rubiandini dated Sep. 4, 2013, a part of SKK Migas bribery money worth US$200,000 was in July 2013 delivered to Sutan Bhatoegana through Tri Yulianto. Rudi said the money was delivered after Bhatoegana asked him to deliver the holiday bonuses (THR) for members of the House Commission VII. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
