Indonesian Stocks Start 2015 Trading in Green

Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened 2015 trading with 0.2% gain Friday, January 2nd.  Indofood Sukses Makmur (INDF) leads with 4.81% gain, while subsidiary Indofood CBP advanced 1.72%. Toll road operator Jasa Marga, Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGAS), Vale Indonesia, Gudang Garam, PP London Sumatra, and Salim Ivomas were also in green. Bumi Resources, however, lost 5% in the opening hour. State bank BRI, top gainer last year, slipped 0.21%, while property giant BSDE down 0.8%. Cooper Energy Limited revealed that Bunian-3, an oil development well, spudded in the Sukananti field, South Sumatra, Indonesia on Wednesday (Dec 31). Bunian-3 is an onshore vertical well with a projected total depth of 1682 meters, which requires about 28 days to complete. USS Sampson Finds 6 Bodies from AirAsia QZ 8501

The guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson has reportedly discovered six bodies from the search and recovery operation for AirAsia Flight QZ 8501 in the Java Sea. “The US ship discovered six bodies,” said Widodo, commander of Western Fleet of Indonesian Navy Friday (January 2nd) morning. Berau Coal Wins Arbitration against Rosan Roeslani

Coal producer PT Berau Coal Energy (BRAU) Tbk has won an arbitration tribunal in Singapore against its former CEO Rosan P Roeslani. The arbitration tribunal has issued an award confirming that Mr Roeslani is obliged to make payment under the settlement deed dated June 26, 2013 of the full sum of US$173 million, plus accrued interest and legal costs. “The Company will seek to enforce the arbitration award by all available means against Mr Roeslani, and will update on its progress as soon as practicable in January 2015,” Berau Coal GM for corporate communications Singgih Widagdo said in a statement today.
