Amien Rais ‘Changes’ Students’ Mind on Jokowi’s Popularity

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Head of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Amien Rais launched another attack to the DKI Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi). In his latest statement, Amien compares Jokowi to the former Philippine President Joseph Estrada, who, according to Amien, always gets drunk. In a public lecture in Diponegoro University, Semarang, Amien shared his view that Jokowi was only elected as DKI Jakarta Governor for his popularity. He also urged the Diponegoro University students not to vote for Jokowi as president only for his popularity, mostly thanks to media coverage. Furthermore, Amin said there was a similarity between Jokowi and Estrada, being elected for the sake of popularity. Amien, moreover, pointed out that Solo is still among the poorest areas in Central Java after Jokowi left his post as mayor. It is not the first for Amin to criticize the capital city governor. In August 2013, Amin publicly requested Jokowi to prove all his campaign promises for DKI before entering the presidential election. Minister Gamawan Denies Corruption Allegation on e-KTP Project

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Gamawan Fauzi, Minister of Home Affairs, plays down corruption allegation on e-KTP project under his ministry. The minister views the corruption accusation launched by graft convict Muhammad Nazaruddin as a tale, without support of data and evidences. Nazaruddin revealed that Gamawan had received fee from e-KTP procurement project which costs Rp5.9 trillion plus a mark up Rp2.5 trillion. Nazaruddin added that Gamawan’s brother also received fee from the project. Nazaruddin, however, has yet revealed the amount of fee received by Gamawan and his brother. KPK’s Plan to Raid Lawmaker’s House Leak

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)’s plan to raid house of Olly Dondokambey, lawmaker from Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), in Manado is leaked by local court, forced KPK to hold the action. Two former high officials in the State Owned Enterprises were summoned to the AGO office Monday (Sept 23). Democrats Reacts over Alleged Intervention on TVRI

JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Syarifuddin Hasan, Executive Chairman of Democratic Party, claims the rumor saying Democratic Party has intervened State-owned television TVRI to broadcast the party’s primary as groundless.
