BTN Posts Rp333.71 Billion Profit

JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – State-owned bank PT Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BBTN) reported net profit of Rp333.71 billion in first 3 months to March of 2013, compared to Rp312.8 billion in the same period of 2012. Net interest income rose 17% to Rp1.27 trillion from previous Rp1.08 trillion. Net interest margin was 5.39%. BTN booked interest income of Rp2.52 trillion, compared to Rp2.11 trillion a previous year. BTN booked operating profit of Rp454.96 billion, compared to Rp432.98 billion in first 3 months to March of 2012. As of September 2012, its assets totaled Rp120.18 trillion of which credit amounted Rp79.17 trillion. Third party fund reached Rp80.75 trillion of which time deposit totaled Rp45.34 trillion. Non performing loan (NPL) was 3.83% while loan to deposit ratio reached 98.19%....

Waskita Karya Surges 7.04%

JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Investors focus trading in shares of state construction company PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) this morning, lifting the stock price by 7.04% to Rp760 per share. Some 56.82 million shares exchange hands this morning trade, the most actively traded stock. The stock had gained 100 compared to its IPO price of Rp380. Waskita had just listed its 9.63 million shares at IDX in mid December 2012. Waskita Karya targets its net profit ro reach Rp356 billion this year and revenue of more than Rp11 trillion. IDX Moves Volatile on Global Growth Worries

JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) was moving in a volatile this morning as global growth worries weighed on market sentiment. HM Sampoerna to Pay Dividend Rp9.95 Trillion

SURABAYA (Indonesia Today) – Cigarette giant PT Hanjaya Mandala (HM) Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) to pay all its 2012’s profit amounting Rp9.95 billion as dividend to shareholders, or Rp2,269 per share, Bisnis.com reported. Mochamad Tommy Hersyaputera, HMSP’s corporate communication, said shareholders had also today appointed Andre Dahlan as marketing director replacing Shea Lih Goh. The company also has no plan to add shares owned by public investors. Currently, 98.18% HMSP shares are controlled by Philip Morris Indonesia. Public investors only own 1.82% shares. Indoferro to Spend $100 Million for Capacity Expansion

CILEGON (Indonesia Today) – Steel bar manufacturerPT Indo Ferro plans to increase its steel processing capacity in Cilegon, Banten to cover the increasing demand of pig iron, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning. Fadjar Suhendra, CEO of Growth Steel Group, holding company of Indoferro, said the capacity expansion will cost US$100 million. He said Indoferro will boost its capacity of pig iron production to 1.1 million tons per year from current 550,000 tons and will double in early 2014. Fadjar added currently the domestic consumption of pig iron reaches 500,000 tons per year. Indoferro also exports pig iron to some countries. “Taiwan has ordered nickel pig iron,” he noted. The capacity expansion, Fadjar added, will be funded by syndiacted loan (70%) and company’s internal cash (30%)....
