JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Toyoda Gosei Safety Systems Indonesia (TGSSI), joint venture company of between PT Astra
Otoparts Tbk (AUTO), automotive component subsidiary of Astra International (ASII), and Toyota Gosei Co Ltd, plans
to build new automotive plant with investment cost of Rp80 billion.
TGSSI will boost production capacity of steering wheel to 1.6 million units per year by 2016 and 1.5 million units of air bag per year. AUTO allocates capital expenditure (capex) of Rp2 trillion this year.
