JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Attorney General Office (AGO) is expected today (Feb. 10) to re-examine former Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Setya Novanto in his capacity as a witness to his scandalous meeting with businessman Muhammad Riza Chalid and former CEO of Freeport Indonesia Maroef Sjamsoeddin.

The second AGO’s questioning session for Novanto today has been confirmed by the AGO’s chief for special crimes Arminsyah.

That said, there is no statement yet from Novanto and his lawyer on whether or not the Golkar lawmaker will answer the AGO’s call.

Last week, Novanto has been questioned by the AGO for the first time after refused the AGO’s call for third times. He wasn’t accompanied by his lawyer during said questioning session.

In his testimony to the AGO, Novanto denied that the voice in the recording provided by Maroef was his voice. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
