JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia has finally its own trade law, replacing Dutch’s bedrijfsreglementerings ordonnatie (BRO) implemented since 1934.

The Lower House of Representative (DPR) had on Tuesday (Feb 11) approved the trade law. This new law prioritizes the benefit of the country as it supports the production sector and requires the governement officials and people at large to use domestic products.

The trade law mandates 9 government regulations, 14 president regulations, and 20 minister regulations. This new trade law however would not confront the free trade.
