JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened down 1.19% to 4,071 this morning, led by banking and property stocks, inline with most markets in the region.

Bank Mandiri lost 2.1%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia fell 1.49%, Bank Negara Indonesia declined 0.67%, Bank Central Asia shed 1.65% and Bank Panin slashed 1.67%.

Property stocks were also under selling pressure. Alam Sutera dropped 5.36%, Sentul City lost 6.67%, Bumi Serpong Damai dropped 3.82%, and Lippo Karawaci fell 2.94%.

Other losers were Telkom (-2.35%), Perusahaan Gas Negara (-0.95%), Kalbe Farma (-1.54%), Adaro Energy (-2.3%), Waskita Karya (-1.85%), and Wijaya Karya (-2.48%).

While plantation stocks extended gains. BW Plantation jumped 10.39%, London Sumatra surged 5.15%, Salim Ivomas lifted 7.25%, and Astra Agro gained 0.82%. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
