JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) revealed on Monday (January 4) that December 2015 inflation was 0.96%, compared to 0.21% in November 2015.

All 82 cities recorded inflation, highest occurred in Merauke (2.87%) and the lowest occurred in Cirebon (0.27%).

The inflation in December 2015 was contributed by staple food (3.2%), processed food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco (0.50%), housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel (0.40%), clothing (0.09%), health (0.24%), education, recreation, and sport (0.06%), and transportation, communication, finance services (0.45%).

Year to date inflation was 2.37% while year on year inflation was 3.35%.
