JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) revealed their findings regarding, among others, money politics practices allegedly committed by regional leader candidates in 29 regions during the 2015 simultaneous regional elections held yesterday (Dec. 9) across the country.

The Bawaslu, however, has not yet revealed the list of all those 29 regions. Bawaslus’ commissioner Nasrullah only revealed that among those 29 regions are South Kalimantan, Kaur, Gowa, Rokan Hulu, Muaro, and Kuantan Senggigi.

In the meantime, the General Election Commission (KPU) also admitted about electoral violations committed by regional leader candidates and their campaign team during the Yesterday’s elections. But overall, the KPU viewed the implementation of the regional elections held simultaneously across the country was smooth and safe.

As reported earlier, the country held its first ever simultaneous regional elections yesterday in 264 regions comprising of 8 provinces, 34 municipalities, and 222 regencies.

According to KPU’s data, around 70% of a total 100,186,754 voters participated in the elections. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
