JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources’ director general for renewable energy Rida Maulana for questioning session on Friday (Nov. 6) related to further investigation into bribery scandal implicating Hanura Party lawmaker Dewie Yasin Limpo.
According to the acting head of the KPK’s public relation bureau Yuyuk Andriaty, the KPK will question Rida as a witness for Dewie Yasin Limpo, one of graft suspects in the case.
The KPK is also scheduled to question three other suspects in the case today. They are director of PT Abdi Bumi Cendrawasih Setiady Jusuf, the Deiyai administration’s head of mining & energy office Irenius Adii, and Dewie’s personal assistant Rinelda Bandoso
As reported earlier, KPK arrested Dewie and her expert staff Bambang at the Soekarno-Hatta international airport two weeks ago. Prior to arresting Dewie and Bambang, KPK arrested six other people in a caught-in-the-act operation (OTT) after a bribery transaction at a restaurant in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, on October 20, 2015. They were Setiadi, Setiadi’s adjutant Devianto, Iranius, Rinelda, another businessman namely Harry, and a rental car driver.
KPK seized SGD177,700 from the transaction and later released Harry and the rental car driver. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
