JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Setya Novanto and his four deputies visited President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo at the State Palace on Thursday (Nov. 5) afternoon.
Novanto, as quoted by Kompas.com, said they will discuss about the 2016 state budget and capital injection into state-owned enterprises (SOEs) for next year.
Novanto, a politician from Golkar Party, is accompanied by his four deputies in the meeting. They are Fadli Zon of Gerindra, Fahri Hamzah of PKS, Taufik Kurniawan of PAN, and Agus Hermanto of Democratic Party.
As reported earlier, the DPR, in its plenary session last week, has passed the 2016 state budget. The DPR, however, decided to freeze a total amount of Rp34.32 trillion of cash capital injection into SOEs already allocated by the central government in the 2016 state budget.
The DPR decided to freeze said capital injection into SOEs due to rejection from majority factions of political parties. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
